Art has always been a passion of mine and I hope that it is something that stays with me throughout my life. Whether it is doing graphic design work on computers, drawing by hand, painting, sculpting, creating music or writing stories, I love nothing more than to come up with creative ideas and projects. In April 2008, I graduated with honors from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art (specializing in Graphic Design) and a minor in Psychology. While I knew the jobs for art related fields could be demanding, I have always stood by my decision to pursue art as a career and have been appreciative of the places that it has taken me. Listed below are some samples of my work that I did in my classes at Florida State University. These samples, along with many more, can also be found on the ART page.
In June 2007, during the summer between my junior and senior year at Florida State University, I obtained an internship at a small media company called Lifeline Audio & Entertainment based in Tallahassee, Florida. This was my first real graphic design job in which I had to deal with clients one-on-one and create products for their specifications rather than my own. While employed here, I performed a wide variety of tasks which included: CD & DVD dupication and replication, designing CD & DVD booklets and traycards, creating new designs for clients and editing existing designs for clients. Listed below are some samples of work that I did for this company. These samples, along with many more, can also be found on the ART page.
Soon after graduating from college, I moved to Melbourne, Florida and in April 2009, I was hired to work for a local e-commerce company called Ewareness, Inc. My time at Ewareness ended up only being a few months, but I was able to learn a lot from my time there and continue to use that knowledge to this day. At Ewareness, I helped to take existing designs for a local company VeteranOwnedBusiness.com and change the characters from wearing military uniforms to civilian clothing. In addition to this, I also helped to create new logos for local companies and improve and design business cards as well. Listed below are some samples of work that I did for this company. These samples, along with many more, can also be found on the ART page.
In September 2009, I was hired by a local laser-etching and sign design company called Etchings By Design, Inc. which was also located in Melbourne, Florida. This company provided a whole new set of training that proved to be very helpful and very fun to learn. At this company I got to use a laser-etching machine to create signs, memorials, plaques, awards and gifts for many clients and local businesses. Listed below are some samples of work that I did for this company. These samples, along with many more, can also be found on the ART page.
